Hamed Engineering Services LLC (HES) formerly known as Electrowatt Engineering is a locally registered Omani Consulting and Engineering Company serving Clients across Power and Infrastructure Sector, providing Engineering and Consulting Services in the field of Transmission & Distribution, Industrial and Energy Sectors.

HES is a trusted Engineering Consultant thereby, aligning our capability to our Clients objectives to create a lasting positive impact. We are helping Clients to deliver projects that enable current & future generations to thrive.

The Company has been associated with many prestigious projects in the Sultanate of Oman since 1984. HES is dedicated to increase “In Country Value” for the Sultanate of Oman by promoting local talent and resources.

The team is one with a proven capability for providing cost effective services that offer value enhanced, pragmatic and innovative solutions, whilst challenging “standard” approaches to both engineering and project execution. We are uncompromised.

HES is an approved Consultant of Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC and also DCRP approved Grade 1 Consultant eligible to work as a Consultant for Transmission and Distribution Companies in Oman.

OUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS

2019

HES was the Detailed Design Consultant for First 500MW Solar PV Power Project at Ibri of OPWP in the Year 2019 for the EPC Contractor. This Project is a grand Success being a first large scale Sola PV Power plant

2017

HES was the Consultant to carry out the Design Review of First 50MW Wind Power Project having 13Nos Wind Turbines near Thumrait in Oman in the year 2017 for the Developer

2016

First Consultant to carry out the Design of 400kV Underground Cable project of Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC) between at Sohar IPP-3 and SFZ Grid Station in the Year 2016.

First Consultant to carry out the Design of 400kV Shunt Reactor Projects at Sur, Ibri and Izki of Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC) for 400kV Grid in the Year 2016 C

2014

First Consultant to carry out the Design of biggest 400kV GIS Grid Stations at Sur and Jhalout in the Year 2014. Since then HES has designed Ten(10) Nos. 400kV GIS Grid Stations of Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC) in Oman.

2013

Working with Dhofar Integrated Services Company ( formerly known as Dhofar Power Company SAOC) as their Project Management Consultant for execution of all distribution related projects from Concept to commissioning since the Year 2013 on continuous basis.

2002

First Consultant to carry out the Design of 220kV GIS Grid Stations at Barka & Filayj of Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC) in Oman in the Year 2002

Who we are

Our History

HES is a Consulting Engineering Company having significant presence in the Sultanate of Oman since 1984 (Formerly known as Electrowatt Engineering Services and Poyry & Company LLC). Value Engineering Centre SPC (VEC) acquired Hamed Engineering Services LLC in May 2013, effectively extending VEC’s capabilities to include Power & Infrastructure.

HES is extensively involved in Consulting Engineering Services in the Power generations Transmission and Distribution Sector of Oman over the last decades. We have, over the years invested and built-up a very strong team of Engineers. Consequently, we have effectively and successfully participated in many of the major Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution projects in Sultanate of Oman and in the region. Indeed, HES has been instrumental in the acceptance and development of many innovative and/or cost-saving solutions in answer to the region’s strategic power and infrastructure needs.

These ‘innovations’ were created, developed and executed by the team in Oman. It is worth noting that these projects are very high profile and the teams involved are scrutinized very closely (by investors, the governments and the lenders) due to the massive investments associated with them. It is testament to the skills and capabilities of our team that HES have been retained by all of the successful IPP companies to provide our engineering and consulting services in relation to these demanding, high profile projects.
